The Rolyn Companies (“Rolyn”) are pleased to announce that the Department of General Services (DGS) has awarded Rolyn a Task Order Agreement to provide emergency response, remediation and restoration services to the Department of General Services for the benefit of District residents and employees, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week under Contract No. GS-10F-035BA. This Contract begins October 1, 2015, and extends through September 30, 2016 with an option to extend for an additional year.
The services covered in this Task Order Agreement include cleanup, remediation and restoration services resulting from black water, mold, biohazards, fire and smoke damage, flood and storm damage, and indoor air quality issues.The scope of work includes all services required to clean, mitigate, and restore all property damage. In conjunction with DGS, Rolyn, will make the select/coordinate appropriate remediation strategies, personal protective equipment, project layout, post–remediation clearance evaluation methods and criteria, and preparation of plans and specifications.

The general goal of the DGS is to ensure the delivery of new or modernized, well-equipped, well-maintained, safe and secure buildings and facilities for the benefit of District residents and employees. Further, the Agency’s mission is to promote the efficient and effective management of the District’s real estate investments and interests through strategic portfolio management, construction and facilities management. In addition to managing capital improvement and construction programs for a variety of District government agencies, DGS also executes real property acquisitions by purchase or lease, disposes of property through sale, lease or other authorized method, manages space in buildings and adjacent areas, and provides building management services for facilities owned or operated by the District.
