Rolyn Companies, Inc., a leading national provider of property disaster recovery and restoration services, is pleased to announce the launch of its new contents restoration division.

Rolyn Companies, Inc., a leading national provider of property disaster recovery and restoration services, is pleased to announce the launch of its new contents restoration division. With the leadership, personnel, and equipment now in-house, Rolyn is better equipped to service building owners, businesses, property managers, homeowners and tenants with their content restoration needs.

In conjunction with the expansion, Rolyn Companies hired industry veteran, Mr. Norris Gearhart, to manage the day to day operations of the department. Mr. Gearhart has over 26 years in the property disaster recovery and insurance restoration industry with experience in both residential and commercial contents restoration.

“Homeowners and businesses often assume that much of the furniture, documents, and belongings damaged during a fire or flood are beyond repair. But today most items can be fully restored with careful handling and the right technologies and techniques. Restoring critical contents first, such as critical legal or financial documents or hotel guest room furniture, can significantly reduce business disruption”, commented Mr. Gearhart.

Rolyn created an in-house processing and storage facility, filling it with the latest contents restoration equipment including highly specialized ultrasonic cleaning systems. These systems use high frequency sound waves to clean contaminated items and are especially effective on intricate details or uniquely shaped items such as jewelry, light fixtures, chandeliers, window blinds, furnishings, golf clubs, glassware, tools, and metal parts.

Rolyn’s contents restoration division also utilizes a state-of-the-art advanced pack-out and tracking technology consisting of integrated digital cameras, barcode scanners and a software system used for on-site inventory and progress tracking throughout the process. This state-of-the-art technology allows Rolyn to quickly and efficiently inventory and track each item through every step of the process.

“The construction of our specialized contents restoration facility in Rockville, Maryland is another step forward in our strategic plan of offering turnkey services for our local and nationwide clients,” added Noel Fisher, Vice President of Rolyn Companies.

Rolyn has already performed many contents restoration projects since bringing Mr. Gearhart on board. Notable projects include:

  •     Pack out and restoration of contents for multiple tenants in a Northern Virginia apartment complex whose belongings were damaged by smoke and soot residue and odors during a fire.
  •     Pack out, restoration, and storage of commercial kitchen equipment and furnishings for a Washington, DC restaurant severely damaged by a flood
  •     Content manipulation and protection for a gift shop located within a Maryland hospital, allowing for water damage remediation to be performed in the structure.
